Yorkshire farmer, at sea?
by Grant Draper
Steve Burgess, a Yorkshire farmer, has set off on a journey like no other, from the UK to South Africa in his Land Rover 110.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of the journey will be the stage from Russia to Alaska, with no ferry service, the 50 mile Bering Strait will be part of the Land Rovers journey, when the chunky tires will be traded for a set of floats.
This will not be the last attempt to cross the channel with an amphibious vehicle, but hopefully the first successful attempt.
