Jim Clark Memorial Fund
by Grant Draper
A memorial to double World F1 Champion Jim Clark is to be unveiled at the Hockenheim, Germany forty years after Clark lost his life there.
Clark fatally crashed in his Formula 2 Lotus in April 1968.
The memorial stems from Warren King, who says that “Jimmy Clark was undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest racing drivers. He showed his prowess by the wide range of classes he entered and won – anything from Formula One and the Indy 500 to saloons, sports cars and even rallying. The hallmark of his greatness was the respect shown him by other drivers.”
It is costing around £10,000 to create the memorial, and anyone who wants to contribute can send a cheque made payable to the Jim Clark Memorial Fund to Warren King at 32 Amderley Drive, Norwich, NR4 6HZ.
