New Volkswagen Scirocco Prices

New Volkswagen Scirocco Prices

The new Volkswagen Scirocco, which was announced as a new addition to the range by Volkswagen a while ago, will officially go on sale September 1, with pricing starting from £20,940.

This amount of cash will get you the basic level of Scirocco.

Well, we say basic, but it’s actually the lowest level you can get but still includes a GT with a 198bhp two-litre turbocharged petrol engine, driven by a sturdy six speed manual gearbox, and with a DSG box as an optional £1330 extra.

The GT Scirocco will include a touchscreen CD player, air-conditioning, 18″ alloy wheels, front fog lights, not to mention a multifunction steering wheel.

Other standard equipment for the Volkswagen Sciroccos GTs will be Adapative Chassis Control, which gives the driver a choice of three settings to include Comfort, Normal and Sport suspension settings, an ultimate race feature, for the more hardcore driver.

The range will start off small, but will soon be duplicated, using different engines, such as the 158bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and a 138bhp 2.0 TDI turbo diesel, which will be released and used in the Scirocco for 2009.

The good thing about the expansion of the range is that the 158bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and a 138bhp 2.0 TDI turbo diesel Scirocco for 2009, will not include GT equipment, which of course, means owning a basic Scirocco will become considerably cheaper.

The new release is expected to make up around 3,350 of Volkswagens on the road in its first year, rising to around 9,000 in 2009, when the line up will include a non-GT style exterior and the 158bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and a 138bhp 2.0 TDI turbo diesel engines under the bonnet.
