Nissan slash prices
by Grant Draper
The recent credit crunch has played a major role in the decrease in car sales, which now averages at nearly 30 per cent compared to similar periods in 2007.
Nissan have taken this into account and felt that to get sales back in line with previous years they need to put price cuts in place immediately.
This has led to Nissan’s first round of price cuts, hopefully to get it out of the sticky situation of too much supply and not enough demand, with savings of up to £4,000 on some of their least popular models, representing massive savings for potential customers.
What this means is that the likes of the three door Acenta will be priced as low as £7,995, representing a saving of £1,270, while savings of up to £1,700 and £3,130 apply to the Note 1.4 manual Acenta and the X-trail 2.0 dCi 173bhp.
The biggest saving will be a massive £4,210, which will see the Pathfinder 2.5 dCi priced at just £26,995, while a similar price cut of £4,085 will see the Aventura Double Cab Navara hit showrooms at a new low of £17,795.
