Hamilton Vs Hoy

Hamilton Vs Hoy

The Race Of Champions is set to be one of the most exiting and competitive events in the UK this year.

Of course, that was before the event organisers dreamt up a seemingly unfair competition which would see F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and triple Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist Chris Hoy engage in battle.

There will be only minor changes in machinery, with Hamilton chopping in his F1 car for a basic Mercedes road car, while Hoy will remain on his usual trusty steed which has served him well, his bike.

This is just one of many events the event organizers have planned, including a public demonstration from Lewis Hamilton in his McLaren Forumla 1 vehicle, and the Race Of Champions final, which unfortunately, Hamilton will not be involved in, due to his departure to arrive at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards on time!

Of course the race is hardly fair, with Hoy admitting his power plants can only produce around 2.5hp, no match for the mighty amounts of hp that the vehicle Hamilton will be driving will have.

That being said, the courses developed for each competitor are designed to be unusual and tricky, but also to take a similar amount of time, to make for a fair race.
