Default Subs...

Whose got subs in their vehicle?

I'm not really a fan...since the music I listen to doesn't do well with 500% Bass, but to each his own.

bass can be turned up or turned down depending on user and their way of listening. You have have it vibrate 3sq blocks or just the seats in your car.

What's the point of buying subs just to turn them down? It's like buying a Nitrous bottle and then not using it (not that I am a huge nitrous fan) or buying a new TV and not plugging it in...

well... i mean... it's basically for show... to turn heads... i mean, that's why i got mine... lol... i got two 12" audiobahn subs with a 1500 watt amp backing it and a 7" flip out screen that clarion has (that's for sale)... and i mean... it pounds hard... so hard that i have to leave the bass at 0 when i drive, and it still pounds... but i mean, if i wanna hear the music and the words, i set my bass to -4... and if i want to impress with some hardcore bass and no one cares about words or if there are any words in a song, crank it to +4... i wish i had better sub controls though... it could even pound harder... haha... oh boy

There are 2 types of people.

1. The people who add the sub to their system to add depth to their music like how you would add a sub to your home theatre to give it that extra kick.

2. The 2nd person is the one that drives around letting everyone know "HEY I GOT A BIG ASS STEREO IN HERE".

I myself am a bit of both I like the depth the bass adds to the music and also at times like to show my bass off.

I was sitting in a coffee shop today and could hear bass approaching. The windows in the shop started to shake and I could feel it in my chair. Of course some ricer in an Acura (no offence to Acura owners) pulls up and has all four windows down. He's doing the gangsta lean and has a girl in the front seat, who did not look impressed or happy to be there.

That, in my opinion, is too much bass. It's nice to have a little bass to add to the music.

I would tend to agree...

and 95% of the people I know who have subs fit into this category

Heh, I'm definitely the firs type of sub owner. I don't really care if I can knock people down with the sound of my music.**If I want to knock people down, I'll hit them with my vehicle.

Sticking to that ideal, I've got a nice pair of little 8" Dual-Voice subs that I'll need to toss into my car at some point. It's a pain trying to find an 8" enclosure -.-

I agree with most of you. I love extremely loud music. I mean loud!!!!! Not to impress but just because I love it. Not to cheap loud music Good highend stuff. Clear and heavy!

I have 2 18",4 15" subs in my house. There is no impressing anyone there.
