Anyone with the new Civic upgrade their stereo yet? If so, do you have any pics or comments on how you did it?
I am thinking about upgrading but a little skeptical because of how the head unit and climate controls are in a flush one piece frame. I have the premium stereo right now which I am content with, however, I wouldn't mind putting in a dvd player as the head unit and maybe a little bit more of a bass kick (nothing huge, maybe a 10). Thanks. |

I am pretty happy with the stock system. I like the flush look and I don't think I will be messing around with it. I never liked the 2-din look on the navi models. If you really need a dvd player, just get one of those 7inch-10inch portable ones (that's what I did). As for more bass, you can just add a sub (tap it to the rear speakers for aux-remote). Someone in the 8thgen forum is doing that. Just wait till he write a how-to on it later.

Hey guys, I put in a 12" sub and it sounds a lot better.**I would like to put in my Pioneer 6.5" speakers but the bracket that the factory speakers sit in will not allow for aftermarket speakers to be installed, it looks like it is part of the bracket and glued in.**I guess I need a custom made bracket?
