Weekend drives

When I was a kid, we just used to go out for a ride on Sunday. It was so much fun! Who knew where we would end up. I never have time to do those things with my kids, but I sure wish I did. Does anyone else remember doing that?

lol haha yep I sure can remember that! well im 22, and I still do it with my gf, we usually go for a nice long drive, no direction we just go! Should try to do it now and again, sure the kids would like it

Well I remember a couple of years ago being stationed in MCB Hawaii that every once in a while we would drive around the island. It was a sweet drive.

I remember when I was a kid we would go for a ride with my grandparents every Sunday. Sometimes we would be gone all day. Alot of times we would stop some where and have a picnic lunch. It was alot of fun and something I will never forget.

if/when i have a kid, i will definitely be doing the weekly drives with the family. we would end it with a dinner at our favorite restaurant with some ice cream for dessert.

That is something I fondly remember from my childhood as well. And my husband and I still do it from time to time now when the mood strikes. It is definitely something I love to do.

My girlfriend makes sure we do that with the kids most weekends here.

We've actually travelled a huge area of Scotland doing so, and the kids have usually been really great in the car - though when the journey goes over about 90 mins without stopping they can start getting restless.

We used to have lots of fun car games to play as kids to keep us occupied.

I can remember doing this when I was a kid. However with the way the gas prices are I don't see this as happening.

It is nice to have all those fond memories. I know I enjoy the memories I have. We always took our kids for rides, And I sure hope it is fond memories.
