Exclamation Help finding right car

Hey everyone,

I am a noob so go easy.....haha

I have recently been given a car allowance of 350 pounds per month by my company for buying a new car as the old company cars they have are being sold on.

I have a small deposit, and am now looking for the right car for me, that being my maximum, but anything under that value will help take my insurance off....

the cars im looking at are as follows...

Vauxhall Astra VXR (250 a month)

Mercedes CLC Coupe (280 a month)

BMW 1 series Coupe (350 a month...But need about 4000 deposit)

VW Golf R32 (340 a month,need 1000 deposit)

As you can see its hot hatches against classy cars, my preferred would be the bmw 1 series, as it has everything but my fear is its just out of my reach, BMW did call and say they would do the hatch 1 series for 340 a month though, but its not a very attractive car for me.

Thought id post this to see what you guys would do in this situation. im looking for an all round good car. something people will notice and also performance wise not too shoddy. not looking for amazing speed but a bit of poke.

oh and probably as you all can gather these cars are all around the 20K mark.

if its not too much to ask, your opinions on look, performance, and best all round....bearing in mind my budget and trying to fit in my insurance too.

Cheers

Tommy

p.s i have tried to post pictures but im not allowed yet, ha!

Welcome to the forums.

As for the cars - remember there's a consumer spending downturn going on, and car sales are already falling.

I think you should take any prices quoted with a pinch of salt, and try to brazenly get away with what you can via haggling, on the grounds that you're a single customer with multiple options, and the dealer you're talking to is competing for your sale, plus potentially others from your company.

Then see what prices you actually get quoted.

If your looking for quality and best car.. You must check every car detail and especially the price of it if it's the real price.... Quality, environment friendly and efficient car.. It should be the right car you would choose..

Cheers...

If you can't afford to buy it, then lease it.
