Volkswagen Passat TDI

Hi
We have a 1996 diesel passat that has a problem.When we reach a certain speed with the car,the oil warning light comes on and a warning beeper sounds 3 times until we get above this speed and then both light and beeper stops. Oil level is okay.

Sounds like a potential electrical fault - are you able to get this checked out?
