malfunction indictator light

The malfunction indictator light is intermittently showing on our PT Cruiser. Any ideas to what the problem is and how to solve it?

I'm not too familiar with the PT Cruiser. Are you talking about the "Check Engine Light" instead? If the problem is still there, could you post the picture of the light so we could determine what it really is?
