Hey, well done bigjon.
![]() I managed to quit for 2 and half years - then family and business stresses really built up and I felt I had to restart. That was last December. And now that I have - I'm looking at how to quit again. ![]() If you don;t mind my asking, how did you do it? Sheer willpower, or are you using anti-smoking aids at all? |

thanks for the support.
i bought a 14 day supply of the patch(nicoderm), not the cheap ones. i wore them for the 14 days. then on the last patch that i had i wore it for three days in the same spot, nonstop. i had to keep reapplying more tape to keep it on. then on the last day i took it off in the morning and that was it. i have tried quitting many times. this is the first time i knew i could do it. i also have mentally set up certain gifts to buy myself for accomplishing certain lengths of not smoking. for example: on the day i quit i bought myself a titanium ring i was eyeing for a while. after a month a $500 hp pda. the first week and month are the HARDEST! when i can go a year, i will buy myself an aed supercharger i have been waniting for a little while too! hehe. |

wow... maybe that's what I need to do... I've been smoking for a/b 11 months...
I've tried to quit a few times, even been successful for a/b a month at a time... but then the stress comes back and I cave in... To think a/b it though, you're way of rewarding yourself is a very good idea.... the savings themselves can be calculated (based on how much you smoke) and you can toss in say $3/day (1 pack/day) and once you have enough, buy something you really want... Maybe that's how I'll get that 16G turbo... |
