Okay, back again - bought a tech forum last week and it was a total pain to import to vbulletin.
Even worse, once I'd transferred the site over, found it was filled with warez. Ouch. Still, once that was removed, looked decent enough. Am also going to get some nice links into here. ![]() |

To be honest with you... I just noticed I was a super mod today... lol, I haven't been able to be on the site for awhile...
I had a lot happen since Nov... I moved into my own house (lost internet for awhile)... had fights w/the ex... had 2 cars stolen, 2 cell phones stolen... all kinds of money come up missing... car break down... loans and business prospects fall through... it's just been a hectic few months for me... things are hopefully starting to get better though... and I've taken care of the missing cars (1 recovered, one insurance claim waiting to be paid), and the money is being repaid... things are starting to work out... anywayz, I like what has been done to the site... we still need to pickup some more traffic, but I can see this taking off... |

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having, but let's hope 2007 will be better for you.
![]() As for the site - I'm actually looking at buying a new skin for it - the current one is somewhat...plain. What do you all think of something like this? vBSkinworks - Quality vBulletin Styles & Skins I'm also in the process of spending $250 on getting some decent links purchased for Legal Streets, so hopefully that will help with the traffic as well. ![]() |

I like that skin. It would definitely spice things up a bit. The current skin would be better for another type of forum, something probably more technical (can we say computer jargon), something that needs it nice and formatted to a T. With a car forum, the environment should be one that encourages personality and creativity. That's a good idea on getting the traffic. I might suggest getting the format of the forum onto something solid, that we feel happy with; and spending on the traffic. I might also suggest, after having a format set; having a design contest of some sort, where people design promotional merchandise, like T-shirts, keychains, bumper stickers, etc. I think that could help with hosting costs, and promotion. |
