Default Motorized Bicycles?

I saw a motorized bicycle this summer and I think I want one. However, I'm not sure how fast they will go and if they are in fact safe? Anybody here have one, know of anybody with one, anything?

I'm sorry, but doesn't this have to be the top of the lazy factor? I mean a motorized bike - tsk. tsk.

Seriously, though, what is the difference from this and say a scooter?

^scooter, you'd have to be standing up... this screams "product for the super lazy", lol

I'm sure there are limits to how fast they can go, in NC, scooters cannot legally go faster than 20MPH (I've seen a few tweaked that would more than double that, lol)

Edit: ^I was speaking of a small motored scooter (not the sit-down type), more like a segway...
I had forgotten all about the sit-down type, lol...

News Flash, you actually have to pedal a motorized bike. Well, at least you can pedal it. I'm not talking about tooling around my neighborhood. I'm talking about heading a few miles out and btw, I have MS, so cycling is not always an option, but this would allow me to still feel like I had some freedom.

Hey, I just like ANYTHING motorized that gives me a sense of freedom. I'd love to have a Vespa, but I'm a little scared now to ride one. While it's not likely, I could just go numb whenever and lose control and then crash. But that's just my over active imagination.

I have seen the motorized bikes and I think they are neat. We have a camper and on a perminet sight, and I would love to have one to use there.
