Default Suspension

Who's got aftermarket suspension?
What is it?
Are you happy with it?
If you could get new suspension - what would it be?

the nice thing about coilovers, is that in the winter you just raise them up and put on steelies. lower back down for pimp in summer.

True that... unless you also get spindles to ensure your handling is as good as your looks. I understand this becomes a problem when MKIV suspension is dropped "too much". When the car is lowered beyond a certain point, the original spindles are no longer at an angle for which they were designed to operate, and beging to negate handling benefits that one would expect of a dropped car on high performance springs and shocks.

I currently have an H&R cupkit. I love it, but most passengers don't. It's super stiff and feels really secure in corners. Not too great if you're taking Grandma out for a sunday drive though:rock:

A couple of questions: Vaughn - do you find the threads corrode over the winter? how do you protect them?

Jessica: do you leave your cupkit in over the winter? hows winter driving with it on??

Cupkit stays in year round. We don't get alot of snow here but I've had some fun... Oettinger valences are really quite strong and make an effective snow plow!. I'm not low enough to have many issues in the winter but I wouldn't advise having an ultra low car for winter as ice tends to jam up the wheel well. I have had some trouble with this.

OK... good to know... I guess that means I'd have to have a stock set for winter driving and a lowered stiff set for summer driving.

Can't wait until I don't have to drive it in the winter :driver:
