Default AirBag Light

Who wants to help me troubleshoot my airbag light on my MK3 Jetta?**Possible weak points in the system I should check first?**Bently tells me how it works but doesn't say where i should check for failures... I'm getting pretty sick of staring at the little red light.

So?**Where do I look first? :loser:

The steering wheel!
Is there a large, deflated white bag hanging out of it? Hahaha, best bet is Vagcom to see what's up.

I've had my air bag light checked out a couple times already. It stays off for about a couple weeks then turns back on. Never fails. One time I brought my car in to the stealership to fix something else, and I noticed my airbag light was gone. It came back after 2hrs, but while it was gone, I kinda missed it.

I've pretty much given up on it. It reminds me to shift at least. It beeps when I go past 2k rpms, hah.

If you end up unable to find the source, you could get the local dealer to vagcom it, right? I'm there so damn often sometimes they check it for free

Good luck
