nice! i juust finished checkin out the autohaus show & shine thread. so i figured there's gotta be! i totally forgot about that show tho!! im kickin myself. did you go?

Nah... that was my father in laws birthday so I had other duties to attend to... would have loved to... the pictures don't do justice to alot of those cars!

yea i can imagine. lots of those cars arent around on cruise night either. i dont see many of them. ive seen one really nice golf with a rieger body kit tho! couple badgless jetta's other than that i havent seen too much. it'd be nice to have a somewhat more regular vw meet in winnipeg

yeah... it would be nice... the guys at hieghts have something set up but it's not regular or anything...

I don't know if i'm going to make it out this weekend at all, I need to do some body work on my car so it may be in peices all weekend yet...

Yeah the show n shine was really fun. I didn't win anything, and I didn't expect to, haha. But it's all good, the proceeds went to charity. It was a really good time all in all.

yea sounds like it woulda been a good time. i wish i would have remembered. but then again my car isnt totally showcase worthy either. i havent had much $$ since i bought the car to do too much performace/body stuff to it. but i got a good chunk back on income tax and i finally sold my guitar amp! so ive got a couple bucks kickin around. i think im gonna save up for a winter car tho! i'll be glad ive got one when winter rolls around. i dont wanna be driving my car through snow/ice/salt when its lowered 2" with a body kit and 18" wheels!

currently all i have done is.. ive removed my rear "JETTA 1.8T" badges and put on my german flag badge! ive got a B&M short throw kit and there's a couple goodies planned for next summer. I want to black out my VW emblems/tails soon. If all goes well, ill be starting my mechanics apprenticeship at Walls Rod & Custom this summer!!

i havent seen anybody around with one of these badges yet, so if any of you see me around the peg, give me a wave!

BTW: if you guys know any other winnipeg people on vwforum tell them about this thread. lets try to keep it alive.
