Nice work! Is that a 16vT? My pants suddenly seem to be shrinking.

ya its an aba 16vt
it has a 94 aba block with squirters

je 83mm 11:1 cr pistons ment for the aba so it sould be around 9.5:1-10:1 cr with the 16v head
stock forged crank
home port and polish on the head with grove trick
completely rebuilt bottom end with bearings, seals, and new oil pump

Wow - that looks like a fun project and it's going to look sweet. For those of us newer to the Veedub family though - could someone enlighten me as to what an aba 16vt is, and why it would make someone's pants tight? ( I googleld and found lots of things WITH aba 16vt's but not a description of what they are). Also, there's a pic of a pretty nice looking snail up there, but I didn't see it listed in your specs - is it automatically included in the engine description or did you leave it out?

aba is the engine code for the bottom end. 16vt is 16 valve turbo. the head. its a hybrid motor i guess you could say. your pants get tight cause as you lean over the fender to work on it, your pants pull tight.
