I have seen Rain-X leave the film but that was a different rain-x product. There is an Interior Anti-Fog**Rain-X (Black Bottle) and a Exterior Water repelant (Yellow Bottle). I didn't like the Interior product, found it to be useless and left residue on my windows that took forever to clean.
Don't confuse the bottles, Let me do that for everyone. :loser:

It is pretty cool to whip down the highway and watch the water roll off.
Works with snow too.

Cherry Scented Meguiars!?! WTF
Wonder if its better than Grape?:???:

i swear by the rain-X ( yellow bottle) for all the out side windows on all my cars.
the stuff rocks if you apply it correctly.
i can drive past a transport truck in a down pour @140km/h and not even need my wipers.

The way I apply it is as follows:

-Clean windows as per normal.
-Apply a small amount to a rag and begin to wipe. Your window should get murky.
-With a different clean rag, remove the film until the rain'x isn't visible
-Drive.

the best way i found so far for aplication takes the least amout of work.

- clean windows with any normal glass cleaner.
- apply Rain-X to a rag and apply in a circular motion( like waxing )until you have a even haze over the entire window('s).

- then hit it with cold water from your hose all over the windows.

thats it!

just make shure for the best application the windows are perfectly dry before aplication.

now how does that sound for easy?

Using water after you apply the rain-x removes that haze?
I'm always left rubbing, and rubbing.

Noted.
