Default Televisions in Cars...

I have never really figured this out...is there any practical reason to put a TV into your car (other than to show off)?

Is it like, I'm driving home from work and want to watch some of the hockey game, so I'll just turn on my in car TV as I cruise down the TransCanada?

My friend had a DVD player in his car. Once watched an entire movie in his car cause he was stuck on the highway because of a crash.

I had a multimedia system on my previous car. It was mainly to use it with my navigation system. I find it very handy. It is also useful to watch dvds while you have your car parked (I dont like to go shopping so I just stay in my car and watch a movie while my gf goes shopping ) It is also good for roadtrips..though I dont watch it, it is good for the passenger. Playing a movie on while you are driving alone in the car is stupid. You are just asking for trouble. People just do that to show off. As for TV, it is pretty useless unless you have satelite, you can't get any good reception here in Canada.

LOL, that sounds very safe.

I remember hearing a story from my friend about him following a car that had a TV playing some porn...I have no idea if that was a true story or not but it was amusing.

I Have a screen and XBOX in my lude. The main reason I put it in was for show. Once in a while I'll play it when im on the highway with someone, but its not like I watch it while im driving. Im hoping to get a new screen with navi but again its more for show. It might come in handy once in a while too!

anyone else think fitting a portable DVD player inside would be more practical and useful?
of course i'm thinking of a very clean job, and also a DVD player with RCA's input (which i've yet to find)
